Description

A GREAT NOVELTY EFFECT

A small white block is marked by the performer with a spectator’s initials. The block is then slipped into a wooden tube which has a small window at each end of it. The performer first turns the tube end on to the spectator to enable him to see that the block just fits into the tube. Holding the tube horizontally, the performer now allows the spectator to view the initialled block through the first window in the tube.

With the aid of a small wooden rod, the performer then slowly pushes the initialled block along the length of the tube, thereby enabling the spectator to view it through the second window. To the spectator’s surprise, however, when the block appears in the second window, THE INITIALS ON IT ARE NO LONGER HIS, BUT ARE NOW THOSE OF THE PERFORMER!

The block is then completely removed from the tube and given to the spectator to examine. THE SPECTATOR’S INITIALS HAVE COMPLETELY DISAPPEARED – ONLY THE PERFORMER’S REMAIN!

    Simple but a great puzzler

This is based on a similar principle to an old effect of Alan’s Dice-A-Matic. But the adding of the initials is a real stroke of genius! I think it takes it from the trick class to the miracle class.

BTW, the wand was added in for effect, the original comes with just a stick!

Great magic and great props of course!

    Was I am impressed!

This may appear a simple effect but once you own one and know it’s method, your’re in for a surprise. The method, though “standard” is beautifully disguised in this piece and it will leave those in the “know” scratching their heads. The operation is simple and practically automatic. The workmanship is, without saying, superb.
