REDESIGNED AND RELEASED IN AUTUMN 1994

The performer claims that this box contains THREE COLOURED DICE. He removes the lid of the box and tips out THREE COLOURED DICE and ONE BLACK DIE! Looking rather confused about this, the performer apologizes, returns the three coloured dice to the box and places the black die in his pocket. With the lid back in position on the box, he again makes the claim that the box contains THREE COLOURED DICE; but once more, to his embarrassment, THREE COLOURED DICE and ONE BLACK DIE roll out of the box and onto the table. This move is repeated several times, on each occasion, the performer becoming more and more exasperated as, repeatedly, a rogue BLACK DIE rolls out of the box with the THREE COLOURED DICE. In desperation, the performer finally concedes defeat. He now says that the box contains THREE COLOURED DICE AND ONE BLACK DIE! He removes the lid and tips out three coloured dice and… Oh, no, TWO black dice! The black die is obviously multiplying, out of control!

The performer decides to try just one more time to perform the effect correctly. He replaces the three coloured dice in the box and places the two rogue black dice in his pocket. On removing the lid a moment later, he tips out NINE COLOURED DICE! Quite clearly, the situation is now hopelessly out of control; the coloured dice are also multiplying! ‘Oh well,’ says the performer, ‘at least I have finally managed to get rid of the black die. OR HAVE I?’ He then lifts up the box (which has been placed upside-down on the table) to reveal A LARGE 5.5 CMS BLACK DIE!

THIS IS PREVERSE MAGIC AT ITS VERY BEST WITH THE PERFORMER APPARENTLY QUITE HELPLESS AND UNABLE TO CONTROL WHAT IS HAPPENING WITHIN THE BOX, MUCH TO THE AMUSEMENT OF HIS AUDIENCE!

The nine coloured dice and the large die at the climax of this effect do not require loading during the routine. A new gimmick has also been incorporated into the original apparatus which allows the performer to add the extra black die when it multiplies, without any loading.

The box, which is handcrafted in teak, measures 7 cms square x 10 cms in height (approx.) and features an attractive fretted design on the front of it. The large 5.5 cms black die produced as a climax to the routine is handcrafted in wood with recessed spots.

Surprise follows surprise in this Warner Miracle!

Great props and comedic routine make this a real winner from Alan Warner. With a clever gimmick he has removed all sleight of hand so that you can focus on the fun.

The number of dice keeps changing with the black die returning to get in the way. So it is repeatedly removed, until in end a large die filling the box is produced.

    What a routine!!

This is one entertaining piece of magic you can not miss. I have seen numerous special mention to this item from Alan in the magic forums whenever his name comes up for discussion and after finally getting it for my collection, I can see the reason for the enthusiasm. It has the best of both worlds…great teak apparatus and an involved lengthy routine that entertains. A whole show in itself!!
